“I will say at the outset that there is only one world, and although we speak of the Old World and the New, this is because the latter was lately discovered by us, and not because there are two.”
–Garcilaso de la Vega
In 2009, after years of writing and shooting for everyone else (Conde Nast Traveler, New York Times, Afar, Nat Geo Traveler, etc), guidebook author, writer, and photographer
Nicholas Gill realized that many of the best details of the New World – meaning Latin America & the America’s at large, but occasionally beyond – were being left out of the traditional media. He launched this site where he can write about anything he wants. So here he delves daily into the world of restaurants, recipes, markets, off the beaten track villages, national parks, ecotourism, hotels, wine, spirits, beer, tea, coffee, and globalization in all its forms. The site is still very much a work in progress. If you have any recommendations for the site please write in.
